Welcome to my website!

This website has evolved greatly and now serves many purposes.  One purpose is to help create a sense of community among Atheists, Agnostics, and other non-theists.  Through expressing some experiences we very likely have in common, we can begin to feel less alone and more empowered.  Empowerment is the key to coming out and demanding more social acceptance and demanding that religious beliefs are not imposed upon us.  Other groups will not do these things for us.  I’ve included autobiographical pieces to help serve this purpose.

Another purpose to start collecting ideas for non-theist parents.  I feel that this is an area where we just need more information.  Many websites and books are out there now that help non-theists guide their children through a world wrought with religion, but I still feel we need more.  I have a parenting tab that contains some of my experiences as a parent and some of my ideas to help guide children through what I believe is institutionalized indoctrination of our youth.

As a blogger, I just want to share my thoughts and provide an outlet for myself.  I am very concerned about the harm that religion does to people, especially women and children, and I feel that we all must be aware of these harms and speak up.

I’ve almost finished writing a book called A Secular Parent’s Guide to Teaching Religion.  I have started a project on Kickstarter.com to help fund it.  Please visit my publication tab to learn more about it.
